FREMONT – Here’s a look at local sports from over the weekend, with a look at what’s coming up today:
High School Sports
The Archbishop Bergan baseball team won the Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament Championship at Den Hartog Field, in Lincoln. Friday, Bergan beat Lincoln Southwest in the semifinals, 9-3 and downed Lincoln East in the championships, 4-2. Bergan is 9-2 on the season.
The Fremont High boys golf team hosted the Fremont Golf Invite Friday at the Fremont Golf Club. Fremont was tenth in the twelve team meet with a 350. Tyler Show led the Tigers with an 85.
The Fremont High girls soccer team hosted Kearney, Friday, and lost to the Bearcats, 5-0. Fremont is 3-8 on the season.
The Fremont Tigers hosted the Pat Murphy Track and Field Invite, Friday, at Appleget Field. The Tigers girls and boys both took first place.

Creighton
Powered by three hit days from freshman Nolan Clifford and senior Ryan Mantle, Creighton baseball extended their winning streak to seven games with a 6-4 win over San Jose State, on Sunday.
The win moved Creighton to 11-7 on the season, while San Jose State fell to 3-7.
Omaha Beef
The Omaha Beef dropped their second straight game, with a 32-21 loss to the Sioux City Bandits, Saturday night, at Ralston Arena. Omaha is 1-2 on the season and returns to action May 2nd, at Sioux City.
