The Executive Board of the Legislature announced appointments recently to the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Special Oversight Committee.
Sen. Lynne Walz of Fremont and Sen. Ben Hansen of Blair were named to the nine-person committee. The panel will provide oversight of administration, operations and planning at the state’s youth rehabilitation and treatment centers, including funding, capacity and staffing practices.
Other senators on the committee include: John Arch of La Vista, Steve Halloran of Hastings, Steve Lathrop and Tony Vargas of Omaha, John Lowe of Kearney, and Anna Wishart and Patty Pansing Brooks of Lincoln.
