Police take Bellevue man into custody

Fremont police cited a Bellevue man Friday morning on various charges.

Ronald J. Phelps, 43, was cited at about 10 a.m. on suspicion of driving without an operator’s license, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Park Place Drive.

Phelps was stopped because his vehicle had no plates or in-transit decals. It was also discovered that he had an active Dodge County warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.

Various pieces of drug paraphernalia, which tested positive for methamphetamine, were discovered during a search of his vehicle.
