Doris F. Howard, age 95 of Fremont
was called by God to her heavenly home on April 1, 2021.
Doris was born November 5, 1925 in Arapahoe, Nebraska to Glenn and Margaret ‘Wendland’ Eland. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe. She was a 1943 graduate of Arapahoe High School and a 1947 graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Doris married Vernon Howard on April 4, 1948. After farming for several years, the family moved to Fremont.
Doris was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, parents, son-in-law Robert Disbrow, sister Glenva, brother-in-law Melvin Unger, sisters-in-law Adrienne Price, Marion Sweet and Reba Dempsey.
The funeral will be 11:00am, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the service will be livestreamed on the church website. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8pm with the family present from 6-8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel.
