State Wrestling Updates with Rich Ray

OMAHA – Day one of the NSAA State Individual Wrestling Championships was Wednesday, at CHI Health Center in Omaha.  Competition featured athletes in classes A and D.
In Class A, Millard South leads with 103 points.  North Platte and Papillion LaVista are tied for second with 65.  Fremont scored 24 points.  The Tigers have three wrestlers competing today, two in the semifinals.  Thomas Wentz at 160 and Garret Moser at 220 are semifinalists.  Benny Alfaro at 195 will wrestle in the third-round consolations.  Action begins at 9am.
In Class D, Plainview is in first with 57 points.  Elkhorn Valley is second with 40.5.  Howell-Dodge has two wrestlers on the mats, today.  Jestin Bayer at 170 is in the semifinals and Levi Belina is in the third round consolations.   The Jaguars scored 15 points, yesterday.  Also from the area, Scribner-Snyder scored two points.
Class D action begins at 1:00, today.  The A and D finals are at 7:00, tonight.  Classes B and C begins competition tomorrow.  Listen for hourly updates on KHUB and Mix 105.5, FM.
