Three Rivers COVID-19 Vaccine Update

The Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) wants to remind everyone that the timeline for COVID-19 vaccinations changes constantly.
“To date, we have administered 1,311 COVID-19 vaccinations within our 3RPHD clinics. Our issue is that we have so many individuals that want the COVID-19 vaccine and not enough vaccine to give,” said Terra Uhing Executive Director of Three Rivers Public Health Department.
3RPHD is starting Phase 1B this week (January 25, 2020).
As a state, Nebraska will be working through Phase 1B, Tier 1 by starting at the top of the list and working to the bottom.
Phase 1B, Tier 1 order:

  1. First Responders
  2. Utilities
  3. Homeless Shelter staff
  4. Corrections staff/Probation staff
  5. Educators

This list can be found at Phase 1B Prioritization. At the present time, 3RPHD is focusing on signups for those aged 65 years and older. For those in that age group that haven’t already signed up, please use this link: https://3RPHD Vaccine Signup.
If you are unable to fill out the form online, there are two other options. You can leave the information at the 3RPHD COVID-19 vaccine voicemail (402-704-2247) or send 3RPHD an email at covid@3rphd.org. If you choose to use the COVID vaccine number or email to be put on the waitlist, 3RPHD must have this info:

  • First and Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Full Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email if applicable

3RPHD Vaccine Signup Contacts:

  • 3RPHD COVID Voicemail: 402-704-2247
  • 3RPHD COVID Email: covid@3rphd.org

All 3RPHD offices are closed to walk-in registration for COVID vaccine.
If you have registered once you do not need to register again and 3RPHD has not started to schedule appointments for the 65+ age group. Currently, 3RPHD is not signing those up with underlying health conditions ages 18-64 years of age.
Know that 3RPHD receives updates constantly and is working diligently, and thanks each community in the Three Rivers jurisdiction for their patience.
3RPHD wants to remind individuals that you can spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. People of any age can get COVID-19, even healthy young adults, and children. People who are older or have certain underlying medical conditions are at higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19. Other groups may be at higher risk for getting COVID-19 or having more severe illness.
Here are a few ways to protect yourself and others:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Wash your hands
  • Keep your social circle small
  • Stay at least 6 feet apart
  • Wear a mask

Sadly, 3RPHD is reporting five new deaths related to COVID-19. Three Dodge County residents: one male in his 70s and two females between the ages of 88-91. A Saunders County resident, a male in his 80s, and a Washington County resident, a female in her 50s. This brings the total death count to 66 deaths in Dodge County, 16 deaths in Saunders, and 20 deaths in Washington County for a total of 102 deaths in the 3RPHD health district.
The 3RPHD COVID-19 data dashboard is available at https://www.threeriverspublichealth.org and is updated Monday – Friday at 5 pm.
