Basketball
The Fremont High girls basketball team suffered it’s third loss of the season in a 56-51 loss at Lincoln Southwest, Tuesday night. Fremont was held to just two points at the end of the first quarter and nine, total, at halftime, in a very cold shooting first half for the Tigers. Head Coach Kelly Flynn evaluated the loss:
Lincoln Southwest was led in scoring by Skylar Pieper and Kate Dilsaver with 15 points, each. Taylor McCabe scored 25 to lead Fremont and Sarah Shepard added 12. Lincoln Southwest is 7-2 and will play at Lincoln Northeast, on Friday. Fremont is 12-3 and will host Lincoln Southeast, Friday night.

Wrestling
In high school wrestling at Fremont High last night, the Norfolk Panthers defeated Fremont in a dual, 54-18. Highlighting the effort for the Tigers were Luke Follett at 145, Thomas Wentz at 160 and Benny Alfaro at 220 who earned wins via pin-fall.
Hockey
The No. 11 Omaha hockey team fought for a a 3-2 overtime win over Colorado College on Tuesday night. The Mavericks will play their next six games at home beginning with a two-game series against No. 15/19 Denver on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 23-24.
