FPS Requesting Information from Fremont Community

FREMONT – Fremont Public Schools invites the Fremont community to participate in a survey to gather input to begin to prioritize the district’s needs towards a potential bond issue that will be voted on in 2021.
The district has an opportunity, over the next several years, to upgrade and/or rebuild our aging facilities. This opportunity is being presented based on bonds that are maturing, a favorable bond market, and a favorable construction market. In order to move forward, a successful bond election is required. The size, scope, and structure of a bond issue will be determined based on the needs prioritized by the community and Board of Education.
The survey can be filled out online, at the following link: http://bit.ly/FPSFacilitySurvey
The survey will be open Thursday, January 7, through Friday, January 15 at 11:59 pm.
“The District started the process of looking at our facilities about a year ago,” stated Brad Dahl, associate superintendent. “The survey represents an opportunity for the community to provide valuable input into the process.”
“The survey results will be important in identifying the Districts priorities and will be an important piece of data for the citizens committee to utilize,” stated Mark Shepard, superintendent of schools.
