David N. Simmons, age 74, of Fremont
On Saturday, December 26th David Norman Simmons Sr. ended his journey on earth. To list his virtually endless accomplishments would be futile and something he would disdain. But those that knew David would tell you this. If it went fast, if it included music, if it involved family or close friends, if it would help someone, if it were funny, if it were genuine and sincere – David would be in it or more commonly, its source. Much of the time anonymously. Devoted to his family he was a challenging yet avid supporter always attending events and celebrations of their accomplishments. To say he will be missed is simply not adequate.
David is survived by son David Jr and grandson Brendan Simmons, Son Chris and his wife Tanya Simmons, and their mother Lynn Simmons. Siblings Joe and wife Debe Simmons, Steve and wife Sharon Simmons, Sue Blomendahl, Sandra Looschen and his devoted companion Ann Knipplemeier. Cousins John and JoAnne LaPlante and Larry McCleery, multiple nieces and nephews, great and great, great nieces and nephews. All of whom thoroughly enjoyed Uncle David’s presence.
No service is planned until later 2021 to celebrate David’s life and legacy.
