Historic Outdoor Christmas Walk at May Museum Tonight

Christmas Tree featured during a past Christmas open house at the May Museum. The tree will be placed in a window where guests will still be able to view it.
FREMONT – Nye Avenue will light up tonight from 6:30 – 8:30 pm around the Louis E. May Museum with vintage Christmas trees, nativity sets, model trains, and an old-time bakery.
The May Museum, located at 1643 N. Nye Avenue in Fremont, holds an annual Christmas open house at the museum each year but had to adapt this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year the event will be held outdoors as a “Christmas Walk” with guides walking guests around the perimeter of the museum while music plays out from the gazebo.
The museum will have lighted window exhibits people can view from the pathway, the outside will be lit up with Christmas lights and the pathway will feature luminaries as well for guests to enjoy.
The free event will also feature Santa Claus and Father Christmas who will have a surprise available for guests.
The May Museum is asking those who attend to follow COVID-19 guidelines including social distancing between family units and wearing a mask.
No one will be permitted into the museum at any time during the event. They ask that you enter through 17th Street to help the flow of traffic.
