The Bridge’s Annual Festival of Hope to Support Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

FREMONT – From November 25 through December 6, 2020, shoppers can support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault while purchasing holiday gifts and decorations at The Bridge’s annual Festival of Hope, which is online again this year.
There are many items available in the online auction, including a one-week getaway at a cabin in Estes Park; rounds of golf at many local golf courses; season tickets to Creighton basketball, soccer, and volleyball; and several decorated trees, wreaths, and centerpieces.
As executive director, Suzanne Smith explained, “We wanted to make it easier for supporters in all five of our counties to do some holiday shopping while helping build violence-free communities.” All proceeds from the auctions will support direct services.
Support through community sponsors like Sid Dillon Chevrolet Fremont help make this event possible.
The Bridge’s mission is to provide services for individuals and families who experience domestic abuse, dating violence, and sexual assault in five Nebraska counties: Burt, Cuming, Dodge, Saunders, and Washington.
The Bridge is the only domestic violence/sexual assault program serving this area. The Bridge’s main office in Fremont and its outreach offices in Blair and West Point offer emergency confidential shelter, a 24-hour crisis line (1-888-721-4340), support and education groups, and youth prevention programming.
