FREMONT – Bob Flittie caught up with Fremont’s City Administrator, Brian Newton, about a pair of items on this week’s City Council agenda.
Tuesday night’s City Council meeting includes the first reading of an ordinance to approve the sale of four lots in the City’s Technology Park (about 5 acres) to Seth McGinn (McGinn Holdings LLC) to allow the expansion of his manufacturing business. McGinn makes popular “can cooker” cooking devices designed to be used indoors and out. During Bob Flittie’s visit with Brian Newton, the City Administrator commented on McGinn and his business:

 
The City Council will also be asked to award the bid for construction of a new Fremont Airport Terminal building. Brian Newton comments:

Turning to state affairs that affect the City, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts made several comments Monday about the spreading coronavirus and the State’s efforts to deal with the spread. Ricketts explained his reasons for NOT imposing a mask mandate:

And Governor Ricketts explained what restrictions he would imposes if we reach the 25% of staffed hospital beds occupied with Covid-19 patients statewide:
