WAHOO – The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is reporting that they located human remains in a tree line near Wahoo on October 20.
Saunders County Officers received a call just after 3 pm in reference to a possible deceased individual located near County Road 17, south of County Road M.
A Wahoo Police Officer and deputies located the human remains and contacted the Nebraska State Patrol for assistance in processing the scene. The preliminary investigation shows that the male is most likely a previously reported missing person in Saunder County.
The investigation continues to confirm the male’s identity and the cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled for today and the family of the individual has been notified according to the SCSO press release.
