FREMONT – Fremont Police is reporting that they received multiple complaints of break-ins to businesses on Sunday, October 18.
At approximately 9:55 am, a damage to property complaint was made at a business in the 600 block of north Broad Street. A window on the business was shattered.
Officers made entry into the building, but nobody was located inside and nothing was reported missing. The estimated damage is $1,000.00.
Shortly after, at approximately 10:00 am, a burglary was reported at a business in the 300 block of north Park Avenue. It appeared someone made entry into the business by breaking the glass on the front door.
A cash register inside the business was damaged and an undetermined amount of cash was reported stolen. The damages are estimated at $1,700.00.
The last incident on Sunday was reported at approximately 11:15 am. The complainant called stating a burglary had occurred at a business in the 200 block of north Park Avenue. It appeared someone made entry into the business by breaking the glass on a door.
Though the interior of the business was ransacked, nothing was reported missing. The damage to the door is estimated at $800.00.
It is unknown at this time if the incidents are related.
Fremont Police also received multiple theft reports on Monday, October 19.
At approximately 1:20 am, the theft of two bicycles was reported at a residence in the 1000 block of east Military Avenue. The bicycles were taken off of the front porch of the residence.
One bicycle is described as a blue and white child’s bicycle, unknown make, or model. The other bicycle is described as a gray and orange Kent brand 20-inch boy’s bicycle. The estimated loss is $200.00.
At approximately 10:00 am, a theft from vehicle complaint was made at a residence in the 2200 block of east 22nd Street. The victim reported that his pickup was parked on the street in front of the residence between 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 17 and 9:30 am on October 19.
During that time, an unknown person entered the vehicle and took several items including a Kenwood brand CD player, a mechanical ratchet toolset, and spare tires. The estimated loss is $1,100.00.
That evening, at approximately 6:00 pm, a theft was reported at a residence in the 1400 block of north C Street. The victim reported that at approximately 1:00 pm, an electric blender was delivered to the residence and left in a package on the front step.
When the victim returned home at approximately 4:30 pm, it was discovered that someone cut the package open and took the blender. There is no information on the make or model of the blender. The loss is estimated at $130.00.
