Nancy Lee Hopper age 88 of Fremont passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Pathfinder Place in Fremont. She was born August 14, 1932 in Fremont, Nebraska to James L. and Anna C. (Jordan) Fisher.  She attended Fremont schools.
In 1949 she married Leo Earl Wheelock and they had 6 children. They later divorced and Nancy married Kenneth C. Snyder.  She worked for Ken in his TV and radio repair service for 5 years and then went to work as a clerk in the Salvation Army store.  In 1979 she and husband, Ken opened a lounge named “Someplace Else” which Nancy managed until it sold in 1982.  This marriage also ended in divorce and in 1985, Nancy married Gary E. Hopper.  Gary was in failing health the last few years and Nancy took care of him until he passed away in December of 2016.  They had been happily married for 31 years.
Nancy was a member of FOE Eagles Auxiliary since 2000. Nancy was an avid reader and in her younger years did a lot of flower gardening and sewing for her husband, grandkids and herself.
Nancy is survived by sons, Terry Wheelock of Omaha and Randy (Karen) Wheelock of Fremont; daughters, Vanessa (Dick) Fisher of Fremont, and Paula Pratt of Denver, Colorado; sister-in-law, Marlene Jurgens; sisters, Mary Ann Ruppert and Janet L. Thornburg both of Fremont; grandchildren, Tina Deitemeyer, Cory Tucker, Angi Cook, Todd Wheelock, Randi Richard, Scott James, Danyelle Wheelock and Travis Hoops, Matt James, Jennifer Pratt and Reggie James; 32 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary; daughters, Susan Tucker and Christine Hoops; brothers, Donald and Paul Fisher; sisters, Ila Mae Fisher and Donna Jean Madsen; grandson, John Jay Exner; 1 great-grandchild and brother-in-law, Leon Jurgens.
Funeral will be 10:30 AM Monday, October 12, 2020 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.  Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 – 7 PM also at Moser’s in Fremont.  Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
Memorials are suggested to the family for a fund yet to be determined.
