3RPHD COVID-19 Risk Dial Update – Overall Risk Dial Decrease

The COVID-19 Community Risk Dials for the Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) jurisdiction of Dodge, Washington, and Saunders counties has been updated for the week.
3RPHD calculates the COVID-19 Risk Dials on a three-week rolling average.

3RPHD Jurisdiction: Yellow Category/Moderate Risk

  • 1.63 Current Week (Decrease in overall positivity rate)
  • 1.88 Previous Week

Dodge County: Yellow Category/Moderate Risk

  • 1.75 Current Week (No change, 3RPHD saw a significant increase in testing)
  • 1.75 Previous Week

Saunders County: Yellow Category/Moderate Risk

  • 1.63 Current Week (Decrease in positive cases)
  • 1.75 Previous Week

Washington County: Yellow Category/Moderate Risk

  • 1.63 Current Week (Increase in testing)
  • 1.63 Previous Week

This week for the 3RPHD heath jurisdiction the risk dial went down to 1.63. There was a decrease in the weekly positivity rate, a decrease in community exposure cases, and a significant increase in the ability to test.
Additionally, with the decreases, 3RPHD had an increase in regional inpatient numbers which is concerning when looking at the overall medical capacity within our region. Stay home if you are sick, stay home if you are being tested for COVID-19, and wear a face covering.

“Please remember that COVID-19 is in ALL of our communities even the small communities —we need everyone to understand that this virus is contagious and can make others very sick. If you have been around someone that is COVID-19 positive you need to quarantine for 14-days and get tested if you become symptomatic”. said Terra Uhing, Executive Director of Three Rivers Public Health Department.

As a reminder 3RPHD updates the community risk dials each Wednesday, and the 3RPHD Data Dashboard is updated each weekday. Please visit our website to learn more.
