Gilbert Wayne Schwarze, 68, of Fremont, NE, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Methodist Fremont Health.
Gilbert was born September 15, 1952, in Dayton, TX, to Ervin and Marlene (Hymel) Schwarze. He graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, TX in 1970. Gilbert started working at Union Pacific as a train dispatcher. In March 12, 1973, Gilbert married Delores in Venton, LA. Gilbert moved to Colorado in 1995 and then resided in Council Bluffs in 1997. He moved to Fremont in 2015.
Gilbert enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid fan of the Houston Astros baseball team.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Delores Schwarze of Fremont; sons, Wayne (Kerry) Schwarze and Christopher (Cami) Schwarze both of Fremont; brother, Michael Schwarze of Devers, TX; and 8 grandchildren.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents.
Family graveside services will be held in Devers, TX.
