JC Brager Defeats FSB Seniors, 9-2.

FREMONT – The First State Bank American Legion junior and senior baseball teams were back at home at Novak Field last night, hosting Lincoln Southeast.
In seniors’ action, JC Brager (LSE) defeated First State 9-2.  After scoring two runs in the top of the first and adding another run in the top of the fourth, First State got on the board on a rbi groundout by Sam Gifford, scoring Carter Sintek. First State cut the lead in half when Dawson Glause delivered an rbi double in the bottom of the fifth, plating Jack Cooper to make the score, 3-2.
The JC Brager team sent ten batters to the plate in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs, sparked by a pair of 3-rbi doubles, one by Andrew Duncan and another by David Swanson.  With the 9-2 win, JC Brager improved to 13-1 on the season.
Duncan pitched the complete game victory, giving up three hits, striking out nine and walking one.  Dawson Glause suffered the loss in 3.1 innings of work, yielding five hits, four walks, with four strikeouts and two wild pitches.  Conner Wilken led JC Brager, going 4-for-4 with two singles, a double and a triple, with an rbi and two runs scored.  Swanson went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and three rbi’s.  First State was led on offense by Carter Sintek, going, 2-for-3 with a single, a double and a run scored.
JC Brager will play Lincoln High tonight at Hartog Field. First State, now 7-5 on the season, will play Lincoln East tonight at Densmore Field.
In juniors action, Vermeer High Plains came back from a 6-2 deficit to defeat First State 10-7 in nine innings.  The First State juniors also play Lincoln East tonight at Densmore Field, at 5pm.
The First State Reserves return to action tonight, playing Omaha Central at Boyd Park, at 6:30pm.
