Keep Fremont Beautiful Upcoming Cleanup Events

FREMONT- Keep Fremont Beautiful will be working hard throughout the month of July and August to host litter removal events through the Great American Cleanup Campaign, paper shredding, and metal and electronic recycling.

Great American Cleanup Campaign

The GACC began in 1998 as a litter cleanup initiative to help improve the places we live and making them more pleasing to the eye. Usually, the GACC campaign starts on the first day of spring, but due to COVID-19, it began in June this year and runs through October. The GACC helps community members become more involved in clean-up and service projects and to take more responsibility for the areas they live in.

  • The next clean-up event will take place Thursday, July 16 from 9-11 am.
  • The event will focus on cleaning up alleyways downtown.
  • Trashbags and gloves will be provided.

Community Paper Shredding Event

Pinnacle Bank and KFB will be hosting a paper shredding event at Pinnacle Bank located at 1520 E 23rd Street. The event will take place on Saturday, July 18, from 12:30-2:30 pm.
Shredding requirements/regulations –

  • 50 lb limit per person
  • paperclips, staples in paper allowed
  • Do not need to be a Pinnacle Bank member to participate
  • No purchase necessary

They encourage you to bring your personal/sensitive information paperwork that needs to be recycled as Tiger Shredding recycles 100% of all paper to help keep information secured.
Keep Fremont Beautiful also reminds you to bring it full circle and only purchase recycled paper.

Summer Fest (Formerly Crazy Days)
