FSB Seniors Go 2-2 at Elkhorn Tournament

FREMONT – The First State Bank American Legion Seniors Baseball team finished the Elkhorn Tournament, 2-2 over the weekend.
The FSB  Seniors fought through a a 9-5 loss to Elkhorn South yesterday at Elkhorn’s Legion Field.  First State scored a run in the bottom of the first, but Elkhorn South scored seven in the top of the fourth to spark the win.  Hunter Mueller started on the mound for First State, giving up eight hits and seven runs, four earned, over 3.2 innings.  Sam Gifford pitched 3.1 innings giving up four hits and two earned runs.  Carter Sintek led First State at the plate, going 2-for-3 with 2 rbi’s.
The Seniors are back in action tomorrow night, hosting Lincoln Southeast at Novak Field.  First pitch is 7:30pm, with the game to air on Big Dog Country, 98.9 FM and 1340 AM.
