Vehicle Stolen at Gunpoint At Baker’s Kwik Shop Gas Station

FREMONT- Early Monday morning, June 29 at approximately 6:50 am a robbery was reported at the Baker’s Kwik Shop Gas Station in the 1600 block of North Bell Street.
The victim reported he had just finished fueling his vehicle, a 2014 Chevy Silverado, when he was approached by a black male who was brandishing a pistol. The suspect demanded the keys to the vehicle and the victim’s wallet and cell phone. The suspect then fled in the victim’s pickup.
Utilizing vehicle locating technology, the victim’s pickup was seen in Mills County, Iowa a short time later by the Iowa State Patrol. Following a vehicle pursuit, the suspect, Cadarius Blakley, 23, of Memphis, TN was taken into custody. Found in the pickup was a pistol believed to be used in this morning’s robbery.
Authorities also confirmed that Blakley was being sought for questioning as a suspect in a murder investigation in Memphis, TN.
