Dillon Family Aquatics Center Will Reopen to Members on Monday

FREMONT – The Fremont Family YMCA announced Friday morning that the Dillon Family Aquatics Center plans to reopen to members only on Monday, June 15th.
Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the Fremont Family YMCA has to enforce new protocols to keep members and staff safe and healthy.

  • Facility hours are for members only. No guests and/or day passes will be used or sold.
  • Please enter the Aquatics Center through the facility doors off of Military Avenue. Do not enter through the main lobby, or through the Wellness Center, if you are planning to swim.
  • Masks are highly recommended when in the lobby or on the pool deck.
  • Cards are required for entrance and must be scanned.
  • On your first visit, you must sign a FFY Member Waiver for usage during COVID 19 Pandemic.
  • Everyone will get their temperature checked and be screened for COVID-19 symptoms. No one will be allowed in the DFAC if their temperature is over 100.4.

Hot Tub:
Only 2 members are allowed in the hot tub at a time, for a maximum of 15 minutes. Masks are optional. You must wait on an identified bench for your turn in the hot tub.
Water Walking:
Walking or Lap swimming is limited to the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m-6:30 p.m.
The shallow end of the pool will accommodate 2-3 walkers at a time. The walking area will be marked with cones.
Members must make walking lane reservations by calling the front desk of the YMCA at 402.721.6952 during operating hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday) or through the Wellness Center (press “2” on the phone prompt) on the weekends.
Members may make two reservations for 30 minutes per reservation, per week for water walking, due to the limited number of lanes. No water aerobics equipment will be provided.
Masks are optional. Lane reservations will be taken starting at 10 a.m. on June 12.
Lap Swimming: 
Walking or lap swimming can only be done during the hours of 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, and 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Six lap swimmers will be allowed at a time for 60 minutes each.
Members must make a reservation by calling the front desk of the YMCA at 402.721.6952 during operating hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday) or through the Wellness Center (press “2” on the phone prompt) on the weekends.
No swim equipment will be available. Every other lane will be used to maximize social distancing at walls. Lane assignments will be made at reservation time.
Lane reservations will be taken starting at 10 a.m. on June 12. Masks are optional on the pool deck.
Water walkers/Lap swimmers: PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP MORE THAN 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR RESERVATION. YOU MUST WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL YOUR RESERVED TIME.
Locker Rooms:
Locker rooms may be used at member’s own risk. They will be deep cleaned twice daily. Every other shower stall will be made available. Only 6 people will be allowed in a locker room at a time. If you don’t want to use the locker room, you can enter through the double doors to the pool and you can use the pool deck shower to rinse off before and after using the pool.
Aquatics Group Fitness:
No aquatics group fitness classes are being offered at this time.
Sauna:
The sauna will remain closed for the time being.
Other information:
Please do not congregate in the lobby.
Chair usage, towels, and coffee are not available at this time.
Members will enter through the far east side (handicap accessible) entrance and exit through the far west (main entrance) doors at the Dillon Family Aquatics Center. Members will not be allowed to use the hallway doors to pass into the north side of the Fremont Family YMCA.
There will be hand sanitizer and disinfectant stations in the locker rooms, and members are strongly encouraged to spray the disinfectant on the benches and lockers when you go to the pool and leave the Y.
