FREMONT – Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) provided an update on total lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases within the district on Wednesday afternoon.
- Dodge County: 518 cases
- Saunders County: 42 cases
- Washington County: 32 cases
Total 3RPHD Case Count: 592 cases (+43 since Monday)
The health department also disclosed Dodge county’s second death from the virus – a man in his 50’s died this week.
As of Wednesday morning, local hospitals reported 373 medical beds were available and 151 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the 378 ventilators available to area hospitals, 160 were in use, including 46 for confirmed COVID-19 patients.
The State of Nebraska has completed about 110,000 tests for COVID-19, diagnosing around 15,000 cases. 181 Nebraskans have died; 6,743 have recovered. Nearly 8,000 active infections remain. 851 people have required hospitalization, and 194 people remain in the hospital.
