Joseph W. Janousek age 86 of North Bend, Nebraska formerly Fremont, NE, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his home. He was born September 9, 1933 to Joseph N. and Mary (Derrhaug) Janousek in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Joe spent many years in Fremont as an owner operator and trucking before moving to North Bend in 2011. Joe married Nora Flynn on June 1, 1972 in Fremont. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Through Joes years he owned many businesses and working hard and loving his family were most important to him. A hard-working gentle man that told the best stories and always was the life of the party.
Joe is survived by his Wife Nora of North Bend; sons, Joseph (Marta) Janousek, Edward “Butch” (Carolyn) Adams and Jerry (Kelly) Adams all of Fremont; daughters, Arlene (Rudy) Delgado of Omaha, Susen (Jerry) Rossow of Yutan, Nebraska, Kimberly (Beto) Rodriguez of Walde, Texas, Carol Cannady of Olathe, Kansas and Sherri (Kenneth) Edwards of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Harry Janousek of Mora, Minnesota, Martin (Alma) Janousek of Inver Grove, Minnesota, Bill (Alice) Janousek of Jordan, Minnesota and Al (Jeanie) Janousek of Shakopee, Minnesota; sister, Rose (Rick) Mendlik of Belle Plaine, Minnesota; 28 grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, JoAnn Mersnick; brother, John Janousek and sister, Marge Wible.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions a celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the river where Joe loved to be.
