Ida M. Hansen age 82, of Fremont
Died Sunday May 17, 2020 at home
 
Ida was born on January 27, 1938 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Robert and Mamie ‘Carter’ Nicola.  She was raised in Council Bluffs and attended Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson High School.  She married Eldon Hansen on January 28, 1956.  The couple lived in Council Bluffs for a short time before moving to Omaha. The family moved to Ralston where they lived for several years.  They moved to Valley, Cedar Bluffs and finally moved to Fremont.
 
During Ida’s working years she worked for Valmont, the Popcorn Plant in North Bend, Telemarketing for a Fremont company and also spent time as an Avon Lady.  One of her greatest joys was being a volunteer at the Fremont Hospital.

Son – Nick(Sharie) Hansen of Valley and their family
granddaughter – Anna (Scott) and great grandchildren Regan, Riley, Rex and Reese
granddaughter – Deana and great grandchildren Ryder and Mattiah
Son – Jeff (Sandy) Hansen of Cedar Bluffs and their family
grandson – J.B. and great grandchildren Wyatt, Elizabeth and Tyler
granddaughter – Sheana(Phillip)
Son – Bob (Jennifer) Hansen of Cedar Bluffs and their family
grandchildren – Ariell, Neil(Alexa), Nathan, Rylee(Taylor)
granddaughter – Aubreeanna(Kris) and great grandchild Emslee
granddaughter – Janelle(Matt) and great grandchildren Maycee, Madilyn and Maddox
Sisters – Barb Veitz of Creston, IA. and Bev Hoffman of Council Bluffs, IA.
 
Ida was preceded in death by two grandchildren Jordan and Madison and a sister Betty Kady.
 
Controlled visitation will be Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.  A private family funeral will be held at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, May 21, 2020 with the service to be livestreamed beginning at 10:00am (www.Ludvigsenmortuary.com). Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.  Memorials can be directed to the family.
