15 New Dodge County COVID-19 Cases; Now 200 in 3RPHD Jurisdiction

FREMONT – Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) has identified 15 cases of COVID-19 from over the weekend and today. The health department also conducted another mass testing event on Saturday afternoon.
The mass testing event was announced on the Three Rivers Public Health Department’s facebook page Saturday around 8:30AM. Most slots for all three counties filled up by 3PM. The results of that mass testing event are still in process. The community can expect those results to be included in updates from the health department on either Wednesday or Friday this week.
The positive cases uncovered this weekend are all Dodge County residents and consist of the following:

5/9/20 – 4 new cases

These cases are all Dodge County Residents.  The contact investigations are completed and all close contacts will self-quarantine.  There are 3 females and 1 male between the ages of 19-46 years of age.

5/10/2020-4 new cases

These cases are all Dodge County Residents.  There are 3 males and 1 female between the ages of 26-66 years of age.  These contact investigations are just beginning.

5/11/2020-7 new cases

These cases are all Dodge County Residents.  There are 5 females and 2 males between the ages of 20-39 years of age and 1 minor.  These contact investigations are just beginning.

Hospital Info

As of Monday morning, local hospitals reported 522 medical surge beds were available and 96 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the 373 ventilators available to area hospitals, 148 were in use, including 38 for confirmed COVID-19 patients.
Assume that COVID-19 is present in all our communities and conduct yourself accordingly. Dodge County now has 165 cases, Washington County has 23 cases and Saunders County has 12 cases. This brings the 3RPHD health jurisdiction total to 200 cases.
The ten-person (or ten-customer) limit is still in place for all three counties. Other Directed Health Measures in effect are listed below:

Nebraska has nearly 9,000 cases of COVID-19 infection and has completed around 45,000 tests. 98 Nebraskans have died.
