FREMONT – The Fremont Friendship Center, also known as the Fremont Senior Center, is now offering their “grab and go” meals to all seniors in the area.
Previously, the meals had only been available to current Friendship Center enrollees. Now, thanks to a partnership with the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging, the senior center will now be able to offer pre-packaged, hot meals to any senior in the area.
The service is now available to all those age 60 and over. You need not be a current Friendship Center participant. Meals are pick up only. A suggested donation of $4 per meal will be collected from participants at their cars.
To reserve a meal or for more details, please call the Friendship Center directly at (402) 727-2815 Monday through Friday by 11AM for the next day’s meal.
The Friendship Center itself will remain closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 until further notice.
