Wholestone Farms has an immediate opening in their Pork Fabrication Department! 

 Description

Pork Fabrication on First Shift works typically from 6 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. with some Saturday work required. The Fremont Plant processes 10,600 hogs per day.

Job Description:

  1. Cut, trim, or clean meat and/or carcasses
  2. Grind meats such as pork
  3. Identify cut or grade of meat
  4. Inspect meat or meat products
  5. Operate food processing production equipment/machinery
  6. Ability to work with a knife
  7. Adjust production equipment/machinery setup
  8. Clean equipment or machinery
  9. Set up production equipment or machinery
  10. Perform repetitive tasks in a processing setting
  11. Use hand or power tools
  12. Some jobs may include specialized slaughtering tasks

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.
  • The ability to perform repetitive hand & wrist motion throughout a shift.
  • The ability to lift/push/pull 50+lbs as required throughout the course of a shift.
  • The ability to twist and bend the body as necessary to perform job related tasks.
  • The ability to kneel/squat/climb as necessary to complete job related tasks.
  • The ability to perform grasping & pinching motions to complete job-related tasks.

Working Conditions:

The work environment in Pork Fabrication is a cold environment with temperatures ranging from 32-40 degrees.

Scheduled Hours:

A typical work week consists of an 8-hour daily shift, Monday-Friday with some Saturday work. Please note, the company may require seniority-based overtime work.
