A four-month-old baby was fatally injured Saturday in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 80 west of the Nebraska Crossing Outlets, the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office said.
Five others also were injured in the crash, which was reported at 4:43 p.m. Saturday on I-80. They were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.
The identities of the baby and the others injured were not immediately available.
A Chrysler Town & Country minivan, with two occupants, and a Chevrolet Cruze four-door car, with four occupants including the baby, collided, said Lt. Matt Core of the Sheriff’s Office. The crash remained under investigation late Saturday.
The collision shut down westbound I-80 for several hours.
