The Midland University women and men’s track and field teams concluded their seasons at the NAIA National Championships, in Gulf Shores, Alabama, Saturday. In the men’s shot put, Seth Sabata finished sixth at 55’9. The Warrior men finished 23rd, with 13 points.
The Nebraska track and field team locked up six more bids to the NCAA Championships on the third and final day of the NCAA West Preliminary Round at Hornet Stadium on Saturday. The Huskers finished with a total of 14 bids to the NCAA Championships.
Burger Lambrechts Jr. finished seventh in the shot put with a PR throw of 63-6 (19.35m), good for No. 6 on the NU top-10 list. He was the first Husker to punch a ticket to the National Championships on Saturday and it is his first time qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA Championships will take place from June 5-8 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
