BRAINERD, Neb. –Midland University’s shotgun tea had another impressive shoot at this past weekend’s Bulldog Sporting Classic, hosted by Concordia University. The Warriors finished in second place as a team with a total score of 1314, finishing behind champion Fort Hays State’s score of 1392.
Midland finished 2nd in super sport with a team score of 464 behind Fort Hays State’s 483, and finished 4th in total clay with 735 points. Fort Hays State won clay with a score of 799.
Midland’s top five shooters for HOA were sophomore Hunter Reinig (274), junior Cole Collier (271), senior Anthony Borders (261), junior Dalton Ritchie (260), and senior Shaun Mallett (258).
Freshman Karlie Hubbard was the highest overall female scorer with a total of 256.
The Warriors have now finished 2nd in all three team events they’ve participated in this season.
Midland’s next shoot is this upcoming weekend on October 13 and 14 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The shoot is hosted by Hastings College.
