UNO Men’s Basketball Fall to 2-3 After Flyers

The Omaha men’s basketball team continued its three-game road swing at Dayton Tuesday night, falling 93-68 at UD Arena. The Mavericks are now 2-3 on the season, while the Flyers remain undefeated at 3-0.

JT Gibson posted a game-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting with three 3-pointers, adding four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

KJ Robinson scored in double figures for the first time this season with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Matt Pile finished with eight points and collected a game-high eight rebounds.

Obi Toppin led an athletic Flyer squad with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting with six rebounds, three assists, three blocks and a steal. Ryan Mikesell (16), Rodney Chatman (13), Ibi Watson (11) and Trey Landers (11) also scored in double figures. Jalen Crutcher dished out a game-high seven assists alongside seven points.

Omaha has a quick turnaround before visiting Washington State on Thursday, Nov. 21. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Wash.
