Two Huskers Heading to USA Winter Diving Trials

All-American Abigail Knapton and freshman Jessica Warak represent the Huskers at the 2018 USA Winter Diving Trials held in Atlanta, Ga. The divers are coming off of a two-week break after a successful performance at the CAMO International Diving Invitational in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Knapton recorded a winning score of 337.05 in the finals platform round. The junior from Omaha added a second-place finish with a 267.60 in the three-meter competition. Warak added a seventh-place showing (217.10) in the platform, while also finishing 17th (204.95) in the three-meter event.

Not only is Knapton ranked as the top-female platform diver in the Big Ten, the Omaha native also holds the number one title in the country according to, with her season best coming from the 2018 Hawkeye Invite (343.85). She is also ranked first in the conference on the one-meter board from the Iowa State dual (316.55). Knapton holds third place on the three-meter board from the Kansas dual (362.48).

Warak secured sixth place in the country on the platform board from the Hawkeye Invitational (273.95) and is third in the Big Ten. Warak holds tenth place in the Big Ten on the one-meter board from the Northern Iowa dual (295.80). The Bellevue native is 15th in the conference in the three-meter dive from the South Dakota State Dual (309.75).
