State Basketball: Bergan, North Bend & Fremont Make Semifinals

FREMONT – Girls state basketball continues on into the semifinals today, with three of our area teams still in the running for their division championships. Potential consolation games for our class C1 and D1 teams, and all championship games are slated for Saturday.

Wahoo High School fell to St. Paul yesterday afternoon, 38 to 41, after a close game that rarely strayed from a 1-3 point difference. St. Paul moves on to play again today; Wahoo ends their season 18-8.

Coming up today:

Class D1: Bergan vs. Hartington CC- 9am. Airtime:  8:55am on Mix 105.5 with Rich Ray on the call.

Class C1: North Bend Central vs. Adams Central- 10:45am. Airtime:  10:30am on Mix 105.5 with Chris Whitney calling the action.

Class A: Fremont vs. Lincoln East- 8:45pm. Airtime:  8:40pm on Big Dog 98.9 and 1340 with Rich Ray.

Possible games coming Saturday:

If Bergan wins on Friday, they go to the Championship game at 9AM on Saturday morning at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

If Bergan loses on Friday, they go to the D1 consolation game at 11AM on Saturday morning at Lincoln East.

If North Bend Central wins on Friday, they’ll go to the Championship game at 11AM on Saturday morning at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

If North Bend Cental loses on Friday, they’ll play again in the C1 3rd place game at 3PM on Saturday afternoon at Lincoln East.

If Fremont High wins on Friday, they’ll play for the class A Championship at 6:30PM on Saturday night at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

If Fremont High loses on Friday, their season will be over. Class A does not play 3rd place/consolation games.

These Championship and 3rd place games will be broadcast on either Mix 105.5 or Big Dog 98.9 and 1340 for each team.
