Omaha high jumper Stephanie Ahrens was selected to the Summit League All-Academic Team, the league office announced Wednesday, March 13.
The honor marks the third conference academic award for her career. Ahrens holds a 3.67 GPA and is set to earn her degree in architectural engineering. The voting was decided on by a panel of faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors from the league’s member institutions. Student-athletes were chosen for the accolade based on their academic and athletic performances this past season.
This season alone, Ahrens recently set the indoor record back on Feb. 9 at the Northwest Missouri State Invite with a height of 6’00.5″ (1.84). Her mark is the second-highest behind her record-breaking performance exactly a month ago. She also had five top finishes for the high jump this season and eight top-5 results.
