The Omaha women’s basketball team cruised to an 88-41 exhibition victory over Lakeland Wednesday night behind a trio of players who scored in double-digits and a plethora of rebounding.
Mariah Murdie led the way with 14 points, eight rebounds on 7-for-10 shooting in 19 minutes of play. Freshmen Kia Wilson and Ella Ogier followed with 11 and 10 points apiece. Ogier also notched seven boards and four assists while Wilson had six rebounds on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field.
Omaha shifts its focus to its season opener against Creighton next Tuesday, Nov. 5. The Mavericks and Bluejays play inside Baxter Arena in a 7 p.m. first tip.
