Omaha Native Luedtke Joins Maverick Men’s Basketball

Head coach Derrin Hansen announced Tuesday that Omaha native Kyle Luedtke has joined the Maverick men’s basketball program for 2018-19.

Luedtke is a 6-4, 190-pound guard from Prep, where he lettered two years under his father, Coach Josh Luedtke. Kyle Luedtke was a second-team all-state selection as a senior after averaging 13.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He also was named captain of the 2018 Nebraska High School Boys Basketball State Tournament Team, having averaged 21.0 points per game in the postseason for the Junior Jays.

Luedtke was part of back-to-back district championship teams at Prep and the 2018 state championship squad that went 26-1 last year. As a junior, he earned All-Metro and all-state honorable mention recognition.
