CU Volleyball

The No. 9 Creighton Volleyball team needed just 59 minutes to complete its 10th straight 3-0 victory over Seton Hall, defeating the Pirates 25-12, 25-12, 25-9 on Sunday, Nov. 3.

Creighton improved to 19-3 on the year and 12-0 in BIG EAST play with its 14th straight win. The Bluejays have now won 31 consecutive regular-season matches against BIG EAST competition. Seton Hall dropped to 7-19 overall and is 2-10 in BIG EAST action.

Creighton returns to action on Friday at 6 p.m. Central at third-place Villanova.


UNO Tennis

The Omaha men’s tennis team wrapped up its fall slate at the Bulldog Hidden Duals at Drake this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.

The three-day event was set up with a round-robin format in singles and doubles action.

Alvaro Quintana and Ethan Henry led Omaha while teaming up to record all three Maverick victories in doubles play.

The pair recorded a 9-7 victory over Northern Iowa and 8-5 win over Creighton before collecting an 8-6 victorious decision over Creighton a second time.

Henry posted Omaha’s lone singles victory with a win via walkover against Creighton’s Jose Oscar Diaz.
