The Creighton women’s rowing team delivered an impressive performance at the Jayhawk Jamboree on Sunday, Oct. 20th.

Competing in three events at the Jamboree, the Bluejays posted a third place finish in the Novice 8+ race as well as a fifth place in the Varsity 8+.

The top Bluejay boat in the Novice 8+ placed third in an 11-boat race with a time of 14:31.2. Creighton second boat in the race took ninth place with a time of 16:35.6.

The Varsity 8+ race featuring a trio of Creighton boats, led by a fifth place finished from the top Bluejay squad with a time of 12:57.8. The next two Creighton boats took 11th and 12th respectively with times of 14:04.5 and 14:04.7.

In the third race, the Varsity 4+, the Bluejays finished 14th (15:17.1) and 15th (15:55.3).

Creighton returns to the water on Saturday, Nov. 9th as the Bluejays take on Drake is a Dual Race in Des Moines, Iowa.

UNOmaha Women’s Soccer

The Oral Roberts defense stifled the Maverick offense in the first half, but the Omaha women’s soccer team netted a pair of goals in the second half to post a 2-1 win over Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon at Caniglia Field.

The Mavericks improve to 5-9-1 (2-3-0) with the victory while the Golden Eagles fall to 4-8-3 (1-2-2).

The Mavericks begin their three-match road swing to end the season with a match at South Dakota on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. in Vermillion, S.D.
