No Momentum From the Beginning – Riley Gives This Week’s Postmortem Report

Head coach Mike Riley said giving up a touchdown on the opening kickoff and getting stopped on an early fourth down were momentum killers for his team.

Riley says the main source of motivation for the final two games will be trying to get to a bowl and mostly playing for pride.

Junior left guard Jerald Foster says making a bowl game would be the best way to send out Nebraska’s senior class.

Redshirt freshman Patrick O’Brien, who played the entire second half in place of the injured Tanner Lee, never saw any signs of quitting from anyone on the team.

Nebraska will play at Penn State, Saturday afternoon at 3:00.  The game will be broadcast on Mix 105.5, FM, with the Husker Sports Network coverage beginning at 10am.

Wednesday is the next Husker Luncheon at the Wooden Windmill, in Fremont.  Steve Sipple from the Lincoln Journal-Star will be the guest speaker.  Doors open at 11am.  The all-you-care-to-eat luncheon buffet is just $15 and this week features turkey.  There will be many great prizes given away.  The program will begin at 12 noon.
