Nebraska Falls to MD 60-45

Despite Isaiah Roby’s second double-double of the season, Nebraska fell to No. 24 Maryland, 60-45, Wednesday evening at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Roby was a bright spot for the Huskers (13-10, 3-9 Big Ten), finishing with 20 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and five blocked shots.

Nebraska held Maryland to 38 percent shooting, but were out-rebounded 53-42, as Bruno Fernando (13 points, 19 rebounds) and Smith (18 points, 11 rebounds) each produced a double-double

Nebraska returns to action on Saturday evening, when the Huskers travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for a game against No. 15 Purdue. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

In Women’s Action:

The Nebraska women’s basketball team will shoot for a season series sweep at Michigan on Thursday night, when the Huskers take on the Wolverines.

Tip off between Nebraska (10-12, 5-6 Big Ten) and Michigan (14-9, 5-6 Big Ten) is set for 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Big Dog 98.9 FM and 1340 AM with the Husker Sports Network.
