Men’s Golf Leads Nation with Nine NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced their 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Golf Scholar-Athletes. There were 180 student-athletes named to the team with Midland University sporting the most, nine athletes, from a single institution.

Garret Giesselmann, Jayson Heck, Garrett Josten, Rylan Rudd, Luke Janning, Myles Shonsey, Joe Vest, Colin Wright, and Hunter Giesselmann were named to the team for having above a 3.5 GPA.

In addition to having a 3.5 or higher grade point average, athletes had to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director and must have achieved junior academic status.
