OMAHA – The Omaha volleyball team saw its three-match win streak come to an end Tuesday night, falling 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 25-27) to Denver at Baxter Arena. The Mavericks are now 6-11 (3-1 Summit League), while the Pioneers improve to 12-4 (3-1).
Junior Abby Bergsten led Omaha for the second straight match with a career-best and match-high 22 kills on .375 hitting. Four other Mavericks had double-figure dig performances: freshman Claire Mountjoy (20), senior Amanda Conlin (14) and sophomores Gessica Gdowski (12) and Meagen Roth (11).
Omaha caps its homestand this weekend, hosting South Dakota on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Baxter Arena at 5 p.m.
