Today, the Midland women and men’s track and field teams compete at the Last Chance Meet at Concordia.

The Warrior women’s wrestling team competes in the Body Bar Nationals, in Irving, Texas, today.


The Nebraska baseball team concludes its home schedule this weekend when the Huskers host Indiana for three games at Hawks Field.

Friday’s game is set for 6:35 p.m.and will be broadcast on Big Dog 98.9 FM and 1340 AM with the Husker Sports Network coverage beginning at 6:04 pm.

Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha starter Jonathan Dziedzic threw seven excellent innings of shutout ball and struck out eight, while right fielder Paulo Orlando ‘s three-run blast in the seventh was enough as the Storm Chasers snapped a six-game skid with a 3-2 triumph over the Iowa Cubs on Thursday evening at Werner Park.

The two squads are set to complete their four-game set on Friday evening at Werner Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm CT. Omaha is expected to send RHP Heath Fillmyer (2-2, 5.46) to the hill, with RHP Duane Underwood Jr. (1-3, 3.25) anticipated to get the nod for Iowa.
