Local Sports Coming Up This Weekend, February 8-9-10

Swim

Fremont High will host the Heartland Athletic Conference Swimming Championships at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center.  Competition begins today at 2:00.

Basketball

The Fremont High girls and boys basketball teams host Lincoln Pius X, tonight, at Al Bahe Gymnasium.  The girls game is at 6pm, with the boys game at 7:45.  Both games will be broadcast on Big Dog 98.9 FM and 1340 AM.

The Bergan girls and boys basketball teams play tonight at Bishop Neumann, versus the Cavaliers.  The girls game is at 6pm, with the boys game at 7:45.  Both games will be broadcast on Mix 105.5, FM.

The Blair High girls and boys basketball teams will host Columbus tonight.  The girls game is at 6pm, with the boys game at 7:30.  Both games will be broadcast on Boomer, 97.3, FM.

In the midst of a four-game skid, the Creighton women’s basketball team returns home to battle St. John’s on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:00 pm.

Wrestling

The Archbishop Bergan wrestling team will host the D-3 District Tournament, today at Midland University’s Wikert Event Center.

The Blair High wrestling team competes in the B-1 District Tournament at Platteview Junior High School, today.  Competition begins at 4pm.

The Warrior women’s wrestling team competes in day one of the WCWA College Womens’ Nationals in Marietta, Georgia, at 8am, today.

Indoor Track & Field

The Midland University women and men’s indoor track and field teams compete at the Concordia Invite, in Seward, today.

Gymnastics

The No. 16 Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (3-2, 2-1 Big Ten) are set to host No. 18 Minnesota for a Big Ten duel on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center at 5 p.m.
