Boys State Basketball Continues

Midland

The Midland University women and men’s bowling team begin competition today at the USBC Sectional Qualifier in Dallas, Texas.

The Warrior women and men’s shotgun sports teams compete in the Lindenwood Invitational, in St. Louis, Missouri, today.

The Warrior baseball team plays Baker University, in a doubleheader at 12 noon today, in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Midland women and men’s tennis matches with Sterling College, today, in Lincoln, have been postponed.

The Warrior Dance team competes in the NAIA National Championship, in Davenport, Iowa, at 6:45, tonight.

Huskers

The Nebraska baseball team renews a rivalry this weekend when the Huskers visit former Big 12 foe Baylor in Waco, Texas. It marks Nebraska’s second consecutive weekend in the Lone Star State after playing in Frisco, Texas to begin the month of March.

The three-game series, which was originally scheduled to take place at Hawks Field in Lincoln, was moved due to weather. The Huskers (4-6) and No. 21 Bears (9-2) open their series on Friday at Baylor Ballpark at 6:35 p.m. (CT). Saturday’s game is scheduled for 3:05 p.m., while Sunday’s finale will begin at 12:05 p.m.

The weekend trip continues the rigorous schedule for the Huskers, who have the No. 9 strength of schedule in the nation, according to WarrenNolan.com. The website also has NU with an RPI of 23 through its first 10 games.

Creighton

Creighton (17-13, 8-9 BIG EAST) basketball closes the regular-season when it hosts DePaul (15-13, 7-10 BIG EAST) on Saturday, March 9.
Tip-off at CHI Health Center Omaha (17,352) in Omaha, Neb., is set for 7:00 p.m.
The program will honor three senior managers as well as two student-athletes following the game.
Creighton Athletics is requesting all fans wear a white shirt for its traditional “White-Out” game. The first 6,000 fans in attendance will receive a complimentary “white-out” shirt courtesy of Kelly’s Carpet Omaha and Lawlor’s Custom Sportswear.
