The Fremont High girls track team competed in the Grand Island Invite, Thursday, and finished in second place, scoring 143 points. Millard West won the meet with 184. The Tigers Lucy Dillon won the 400 in 58.42. Elli Dahl won the 800 in 2:23.77. Dahl also won the 1600 in 5:14.90. The Tiger 800 sprint medley of Mikayla Paulson, Kennedy Jones, Tania Gleason and Taylor McCabe took first in 1:55.23 and Juanita Mendoza won the pole vault at 10-0.
In high school boys soccer at Christensen Field, yesterday, Kearney defeated Fremont, 5-0.
In girls high school soccer at Kearney, Kearney defeated Fremont, 7-0.
The Blair boys soccer team defeated Ralston, last night, 2-1.
The Bergan baseball team played Lincoln High, at Sherman Field, yesterday, and recorded an 11-1 victory in five innings. Bergan scored eight runs in the second inning, while pounding out 12 hits in the game. Austin Callahan, Eli Herink, Mitchell Glause and Dawson Glause all had two hits apiece. Dawson Glause worked 3.2 innings, earning the win. Bergan is 2-2 on the season.
In GPAC tennis yesterday, in Fremont, the Morningside women defeated Midland, 5-4. In men’s action, Midland won 9-0.
The Blair High boys golf team played Oakland-Craig to a tie at River Wilds Golf Course, yesterday. Both teams shot 168. Blake Stirek shot a 36 to lead the Bears.
