The ninth-ranked Midland University Warrior volleyball team earned a three-set victory over Morningside College, in Sioux City, Iowa, last night, in GPAC action. The Warriors won 25-22, 28-26, 25-19. MU was led by freshman Maddie Wieseler. The Hartington native had 13 kills to lead the offense. Hope Leimbach had 23 set assists. Brooke Fredricksen had three ace serves and 11 digs. The Warriors are now 10-3 and 2-0 in the GPAC and play at Concordia, versus the Bulldogs, Saturday, at 3pm.
The 12th-ranked Midland Warrior women’s soccer team defeated Ottawa University, at Heedum Field last night, 5-1. Nayeli Rodriguez led the Warriors with two goals and an assist. Midland is 3-1-1 on the season and plays at Briar Cliff University, Sep. 21st.
The Warrior men’s soccer team recorded its’ second straight shutout, with a 6-0 win over Ottawa, last night. Mario Bueso had a goal and an assist to spark MU. The Warriors are 3-2 on the season and play at McPherson College, Saturday, at 1:30.
