Local Scoreboard: Baseball, Tennis & a Special Night for Shepard

Congrats to a Fremont Grad Going Pro:

Fremont High graduate Jessica Shepard was selected as the 16th overall pick in last night’s WNBA Draft at the Nike Headquarters in New York City.  After getting drafted by the Minnesota Lynx, Shepard tweeted, “A 17 year old dream tuned reality!!  Couldn’t be more excited to get to work.”

Congratulations to Jessica as she enters the professional basketball world.

The Fremont High girls tennis team finished sixth in the ten-team Kearney Doubles Invite, yesterday at Harmon Park.  Lincoln East finished first.
