Lady Warriors Place Fourth at Home Invite

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University’s women’s golf team hit the link at Fremont Golf Club on Monday as they host their annual Midland Fall Invitational. The Warriors were one of eight teams in the 18-hole event and placed fourth.

Tiffany Scheele, who last week won the CSM Fall Invite, placed 2nd to lead Midland. She shot an 8-over par 81. Teammates Madison Lease and Ahnna Schouten joined her in the Top 20 as they placed 13th and 19th respectively. Lease shot a round of 89 while Schouten carded a 92.

Renee Marcotte and Olivia Engel rounded the Midland lineup. Marcotte was 35th with a round of 102 and Engel was 45th with a score of 109.

As a team Midland shot a 364 which was 12 strokes behind Mount Marty, who won the team title. Concordia (353) was second and College of Saint Mary (358) was third.

Individually it was Victoria Suto of CSM winning the event with a low score of 80.

Midland will be back on the links next week when they travel to North Sioux City, South Dakota for the two day Briar Cliff Invitational. Tee times are set for 10:00 a.m. each day at Two Rivers Golf Club.
